Client Description

Our client is a top 20, UK management and IT consultancy, with a reputation for the quality and effectiveness of its services. Their capabilities range from management consultancy, enterprise transformation / change management, and all aspects of programme & project management.

The primary focus will be on selling IT based solutions and services to enable public sector organizations deliver world class public services.

Required Skills

The successful candidate will:

suit an energetic and natural business developer whose career to date demonstrates an ability to secure new business with new clients
have the ability to secure new business through creative shaping of innovative consulting and IT approaches and solutions
have excellent verbal and written skills
have experience of identifying and working with technology partners to formulate winning bids
either have experience in, or have a strong understanding of most of the elements that make up the services we provide. Involvement in public facing web based services would also and advantage.
Be degree qualified or equivalent
Much of the companies work is with Public Sector clients (mainly Central Government, Healthcare, Defence, Criminal Justice). Although not a pre-requisite, experience of having secured complex business with public sector organisations may be beneficial.

The role is based in our offices in central London but does involve regular travel within the UK

Job Role

The sales cycles in this role will typically be between 3 and 12 months, with deal sizes from £100K to £10m.

The successful candidate will focus on establishing relationships, identifying and qualifying opportunities and closing sales, having assisted with the preparation ofproposals.
